Help Keep our Mission Alive!!
After the attack on Dallas in 2016 where five police officers were ambushed and killed, Megan O'Grady wanted to start helping the families of fallen law enforcement officers around the country. As the daughter of a law enforcement officer, Megan (who was 14 years old at the time) knew just how devastating the loss of an officer would be to a police family. Feeling called to action, Megan created Blue Line Bears to help families like those of the five officers killed on that devastating night in July 2016. Blue Line Bears is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the goal of helping families of fallen Law Enforcement officers cope with the devastating loss of their loved one by creating a one-of-a-kind personalized teddy bear made out of the uniform shirt of the fallen officer. Blue Line Bears not only provides a lasting keepsake to help keep the officer’s memory alive, but also helps their child to see that there are caring individuals who respect and appreciate men and women in uniform. Thanks to generous donors Blue Line Bears has been able to make and deliver over 1200 bears for families in 43 states, England, Canada, Malta, and Afghanistan free of charge since January 2017.
Now in our 6th year, our mission to provide bears to the families of fallen officers has grown! Your help in supporting this amazing mission will allow us to continue to touch the hearts of survivors through these amazing bears. At our gala last year, we delivered our 1000th bear to the family of Sgt. Kaila Sullivan, and in the past 2 years, Covid related line of duty deaths has increased our demand for bears. Your support will ensure that we are able to continue to make these amazing keepsakes, deliver them to their families, and move our mission forward to new levels.
Thank you in advance for your support, as we could not do this without donors like you!
